The macbook air is a really cool notebook if you ask me. It's very small and light and at the same time, it's powerful. 0,76 inches thin and it weighs only 3.0 pounds.
Even though it's a small laptop it got some power. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo and it's extremely powerful. It's like rocket fuel in a zippo lighter =).
The screen is 13.3 inches wide wich is good for a portable notebook. You want to travel easy with the macbook air, and think if you would travel around with a 17 inch screen. Not so good.
A new and cool thing that the macbook air has is a multi-touch pad. If you take a look at the iphone and how the touch screen works there, you will come close to how the touch pad work. You will be able to rotate, zoom in and scroll very easily with the touchpad. This is great if you want to rotate photos or zoom in on online newspapers you are reading online.
Another cool feature is the SSD harddrive that two of the models has. SSD stands for "Solid State Drive" and it's the absolute peak in the newest technology. A SSD drive will load applications about 250 times faster than a regular HDD drive. If you were looking for speed, then look no further. The SSD drive is at 64 GB which is a little small but it's new and you will be able to get bigger SSD drives in the future.

Lastly there is one feature I really like and it's the "remote disc" feature. This feature will allow you to access a CD or a DVD player remotly on another computer in your wireless network.
